Earth | Two Bedroom

Spacious 2-bedroom sanctuary on the upper level featuring two en suite bathrooms - everything you need for a truly lavish stay!

Upper level, ginormous 2 bedroom with two en suite baths, has full kitchen, bath and laundry. Hosts eco-friendly, paper, soaps and cleaning products. In the heart of Torrey, minutes from Capitol Reef enjoy multiple coffee shops, and restaurants. Stay here and support intentional travel and sustainable tourism. We aim to minimize impact on ecosystems, maximize impact on local businesses and support the people who run them. Come Home to the Heart of Utah and take your place in our community.

The Space

Cook a variety of dishes in the full kitchen that hosts an electric range and full size refrigerator. It is fully stocked and supplied with everything you should need while away from home. There is drip coffee maker and freshly roasted coffee from our local Shooke Coffee Roasters for the morning. There is a tea kettle, full pots and pans and anything else you may need to whip up a quick dish and the soap for washing up. 

There are extra blankets and towels.  Eco friendly shampoo, conditioner and body wash are available at the dwelling. We use recycled or bamboo paper products and vegan, organic cleaning products  and hypo allergenic linens wherever possible.

The laundry room has organic detergent and stain remover for several loads of laundry. You will find yourself well cared for in this clean and comfortable in this dwelling.

There is a desk and a designated workspace. There are books, puzzles and games for entertainment. Netflix and Hulu are available for streaming on the smart TV. We do not have any cable or TV channels. 

Temperature is regulated with a forced air furnace and window AC unit. 

This property has 4 additional apartments in it. All dwellings are completely private and there is a shared back yard, and seasonal game room.

We offer bocce ball, corn hole, badminton and other fun lawn games that you can find in the community game room, equipped with a pool table and darts. 

The large backyard with a BBQ and plenty of places to relax and hang out in the shade of the apple trees. Our neighbors have various cute livestock to watch and we have free range chickens plucking around the yard.

There is a Pyreneese/Poodle Mix named Penny that hangs out in the backyard sometimes. She's a shy and friendly dog that will welcome you Home.

Guest Access

When you arrive, you will go to the east side of the building to Door #2. The entrance to the dwelling is located under the stairs. It is the middle door. There is a keypad with code we will supply you with one week before your check in date. There are no steps to the apartment and a large parking area big enough to fit all of your families cars and your trailers and toys. All apartments have private entrances with shared patio and decks. You have access to the seasonal game room and the backyard. No one else will have access to your laundry room or dwelling. 

Other Things to Note

THERE IS NO GROCERY STORE IN TORREY. The nearest shopping is in Loa, Utah- 17 miles away. Come prepared with groceries or contact Danielle and arrange to have groceries or a locals welcome basket delivered in advance for a nominal fee.

Think ahead while making dinner plans. During the Spring and fall there is a high volume of tourists so make dinner reservations or expect to wait.


Torrey is located at 6,800 ft in elevation, so we don’t get the intense heat that other desert town experience. Summer time temperatures range from the mid 80's to low 90's , mostly in the 80's, during the day and mid 50's to mid 60's at night.

Winter temps are mostly in mid 30’s to lower 50’s with a few days in the 20’s. Snow doesn't stay long in Torrey but there is plenty of it on Boulder Mountain.

Torrey is a small town with population 350. It is spread out over a few miles on highway 24. The house is located just 6 minutes from Capitol Reef National Park. Plan to drive to most locations although it's a fun bike ride on a summer evening to dinner.

You will find this to be the perfect place to stay while exploring aspects of intentional travel. Contribute to the local sustainable tourism by visiting the Wild Rabbit Cafe, buy coffee from Shooke Coffee Roasters and stop for ice cream at Color Ridge Creamery and Farm literally right next door.

The heart of Utah boasts exceptional landscapes that vary from expansive red rock deserts to high altitude forests. Our neighbors are not just the people next door but the white rock people of Capitol Reef, the Pando tree people of Fish Lake. We honor and protect the vast canyon people of Grand Staircase National Monument and the lake people who live on Boulder Mountain. This is our home and we welcome your love and respect to your home and come find out (quoting Mister Rogers) 'Who are the people in your neighborhood?"

Getting Around 

Torrey is a small town with population 350. It is spread out over a few miles on highway 24. The house is located just 10 minutes from Capitol Reef National Park. Plan to drive to most locations although it's a fun bike ride on a summer evening to dinner. There is no public transportation in the area due to the limited infrastructure in our community. Last year we expanded the road shoulder to accommodate biking and walking all the way to the park.


Sat nav systems get overly creative when guiding you to the house. DO NOT USE the address in GPS. 

If using GPS, Google or Apple maps, enter the Wild Rabbit Cafe into the GPS and access the house on either side via one of the driveways. You can park in the parking lot directly north (or behind) the cafe next to the large two-story house. 

Check in Instructions

Park anywhere you want around the house. Stay away from the Wild Rabbit Building. The apartment is on the ground floor and is the middle door. There is a keyless entry system. The door code will be sent to you a week before your check in date. The door automatically locks all of the time.
